The Marketing Challenge

The 1803 Marketplace set out to create something new in golf: a curated space for independent and emerging brands to reach modern golf consumers.

The challenge? Competing for attention in an industry dominated by legacy players with massive ad budgets, while educating shoppers on the value of smaller, design-forward golf labels.

We needed a strategy that combined authentic storytelling, community-driven partnerships, and paid media experimentation to establish credibility and drive measurable growth without relying on traditional retail resources.

As Director of Marketing and Partnerships, I led the brand and growth strategy for The 1803 Marketplace from concept to execution. I oversaw brand positioning, partner onboarding, creative direction, and digital marketing — ensuring that every campaign, email, and piece of content told a consistent story: modern golf meets creative entrepreneurship.
